Current research interests:

• Digital image processing (analysis, modelling, pattern recognition, object detection) for automation of scientific and experimental research in biomedicine
• Mathematical models, methods and software for texture analysis of crystalline nanostructure images
• Statistical texture analysis of crystalline microstructure images (crystallograms of lacrimal and oral fluid, facies of blood plasma and cerebrospinal fluid)
• Hardware and software systems for biomedical applications, including the development of computer technology and analysis tools for biomedical images (analysis of the pathological changes of fundus, analysis of the optic disc).

Awards: 2013: the Letter of thanks of the Head of the city of Samara for long service and hard work on socially important city programs.
